Italian and Spanish form of the Late Latin name Desiderius, which was derived from Latin desiderium "longing, desire".

I first knew the name from of course my heritage and language.  I am European Mixed (Spaniard/Roman )along  with Russian/Kashmiri . Desire is what my name means. But why I chose this name has  a whole other meaning to me. I remember a movies years back called DESIDARIOUS The demon of Temptation. She was portrayed in the movie as a red headed  Temptress with long flowing wavy hair,  clear shiny hazel eyes. Her features resembled mine a  bit. I was intrigued with the concept of her character and innocent beauty with the intent to temp and feed on  others for her desires. Of course the fact that the movie portrayed women as evil temptresses did not intrigue me. But I grew to love the role just the same. I had always used Divana ( wild in Indian), Divyana ( higher spirit in Indian) I wanted to get more into my Spanish roots and add something mysterious and dark to my theme as I am a Dark Ethno-Fusion dancer. Although my dance is "RAQS SHAKI "( Belly Dance )

And I do dance Indian also. I wanted something that resembled Dark-Mystique-Tempting-and desirable with an edge of theatrical drama. Me being  a theater arts and Jazz dance major(after all real cabaret came from that). I remembered that movie and there it was . I broke it down to it's original name DESIDERIA -DESIRE!!!

I have the Desire to learn, experience , grow and give  by teaching and sharing my love of the dance to others. I have the fire and  desire within to dance!!!
Added facts about me. I am a Arien child, therefore I am a go getter, fiery, passionate,  romantic, optimistic, confident, secure self esteem, and a  free spirit.
