Malandra:
Dark/Black serpentA dance project that captures the allure, spiritual and mystique of serpent dances. Worshiping the Dark Goddess with the bonding and connection to her earth creature. Set to a darker serpent dance. I will be performing with my Black Kingsnake. Needed Serpent dancers. You must send bio-photo-experience and/or video clip and name of dance piece and song title. This will be a Fall 2008 Production . I will send notices out for auditions and other info, as we get closer to the performance date.
THE DANCE
Worshiping the Dark Goddess with a dark serpent. Bidding her farewell as she goes to her winter resting place. We send her off with a dance of the night with her dark creature...Black is beautiful as is the color of night. We will show you beauty in darkness.
Dance projects:These are upcoming dance pieces I will be choreographying for theater productions in Fall of 2008. I will be training and putting the show together after audtioning already established Gothic Belly dancers for these shows. Starting in July 2008. I am seeking other dark minded Gothic Belly dancers. Not (cabaret/tribal )but Gothic dancers.
The shows will be in the CT/NYC eras depending on theater used. All rehearsels will also take place in one of my studio locations in CT. I am only seeking local tri-state northeast USA dancers as this will not be a traveling show but a one time theater showcase or production. I will be selecting very theatrical Gothic dancers of my choice to perform in my theater pieces . That I feel will fit into the story. Only the Temple Of Gaia showcase I will be featuring a variey of Belly dancers. Which I have already picked out. Desidarius : The meaning of the word
Usage: Late Roman Derived from Latin desiderium "longing, desire". It was the name of several early saints. It was also borne in the 8th century by the last king of the Lombard Kingdom.
Desidarius Productions & Theater works is the creative collaboration of Muna Sadia(Desideria) and her amazingly talented friends, Desideria has been performing her whole life, and professionally now for over 14 years.
From her humble beginnings as a classical ballet/jazz dancer and gymnast,, Desideria now has an impressive repertoire of dance, circus and performance styles under her belt, including flamenco, Samba , fire dance, and theatrical to boot.
